Enter a SteamID64, a Steam profile URL, or a custom profile name. We read that account's public Rust inventory straight from Steam, match every tradable skin against our price database, and add it all up. Nothing is installed and no trade offer is sent.

Is the Rust inventory value accurate?

It is an accurate picture of what the inventory is worth on the Steam Community Market right now, which is what almost everyone means by inventory value. What you would actually receive in a sale is lower: Steam takes roughly a 15% fee on every market sale, and thinly traded skins can take a long time to sell at the listed price.

What prices does the calculator use?

The lowest current sell order on the Steam Community Market - the ask, the price you would actually have to pay to buy that skin today. If a skin has no live sell orders, we fall back to its highest buy order. That is the same price basis used everywhere on the RustProfit skins wiki, so an item's price is the same number on both sites.

Is the Rust inventory checker free?

Yes, completely free and unlimited. There is no account, no paid tier, and no cap on how many inventories you can check.

Do I need to log in with Steam?

No. There is no login on this site at all - we never ask for your Steam credentials, an API key, or a trade URL. Everything is read from public Steam data, which is also why you can check anyone else's inventory, not just your own.

Why does it say my Rust inventory is private?

Steam only exposes inventory contents when the inventory's privacy is set to Public. In Steam, open Profile, then Edit Profile, then Privacy Settings, and set Inventory to Public. Give it a minute to take effect, then run the check again. An empty result can also mean the account genuinely owns no tradable Rust items.
